A Little Bit Of History
We are situated on a farm in Cornwall that houses 3 generations of family, the printing business and an Eco Campsite.
Started in 1973 by John Chown in Stoke on Trent as Caverswall China and later moving to Cornwall as Chown China Ltd, the family has seen the business through many technological changes and now has embraced the newer energy efficient processes and moved into the dye sublimation and vinyl printing whilst still offering artisan screen printing for those clients who wish to own hand printed items.
With Stewart Chown as Managing Director the team now consists of wife Debbie (accounts and office manager), daughter Bridie (design, online sales and social media), Jodie ( managing the production processes), and Bryan (maintenance engineer). Plus the office dogs!
